Responsible breeding is something all should support, to help prevent puppy mills and the inhumane treatment of Mi-kis and other dog breeds. There are a few simple things everyone can do on both sides of a puppy purchase. If geography permits, meet in person where the Mi-ki puppy was born and raised. This provides an opportunity for the puppy buyer to check out the premises where the puppy was born and raised. It also gives the buyer a chance to meet the parents of the pup, as well as the breeder of the Mi-Ki. It is up to both the buyer and Mi-ki breeder to be comfortable with each other before the transaction of a puppy takes place.
